Nitric Passivation

Nitric passivation allows the removal of excess iron and associated contaminants from the surface of the stainless steels, cobalt chrome and titanium implants. Unlike electropolishing of stainless steel parts that results in a bright and shiny part, passivation of stainless steel parts does not change the parts’ aesthetics. MDI’s in-house passivation process allows for faster turnaround times and can quickly be followed by our validated implant cleaning process.
